Solitary Journey Poem by Chandan Dey

Solitary Journey

Rating: 5.0

The meandering path,
an endless solitary journey
with countless dreamy hopes.

the flow of a river
with mystic turn,
making me so inquisitive

i stop by her for a while,
view the woodlands
on her both sides.

as the sun shining on her
i see the sparkling ripples.
i ache for her golden voice

but no response i receive,
with my utter surprise,
she runs down toward the sea…

I have read about ten of your poems, and this is the best one I have read so far. I really like the part about the river not responding to the unspoken question. Very nicely done.
