Solitude Poem by Kevin Patrick

Solitude

Within this shaded hour
the minutes fall to amber
in the calm pool of infinity
drifts a silent song of peace
as candles drip melodically
unfurling petals of soft flames
their folded tongues exposing
the yellow arms of nights embrace

And as I walk
among the cloisters
I feel transformed
Into an unchained raven
Sailing soft and solitarily
in the time scape of eternity
with wings against horizons dawn
forward and unbound
flying on for forever
and forever...

In solitude we find both reason, and hope. Well penned!
