Solitude Poem by Elena Gabriela

Solitude

I’m walking down the streets of my mind
I can’t see even a single face that’s kind.
Everything is cold, the sky seems heavy
Black clouds are spinning, can’t remain steady.

I’m trapped in my nightmare
But psyche doesn’t care
The lightning is flashing on the road
Maybe it’s transmitting me a code?

Drawers filled with pages of dreads
I think I’m gathering up my story threads
I almost elucidate the writing on it
And all the impulses it can transmit.

Easy I’m drifting apart, I’m remembering
All the things you said to me, I’m tumbling
I’m in solitude, awake; I’ll never dare to dream
I cheated, now you can choose how to redeem.
