Solitude Poem by Ayi Escalona

Solitude

Rating: 4.5

i dream building a nipa hut
on the side of a hill
under a big talisay tree
and all i need is a shade
a little space
where i sit and then gaze
around me
and then close my eyes
and lose myself
inside
the vast space
of unconsciousness

and then tonight
shall be the moon and myself
there is no use
of any word

in this solitude

The simple things in life are the weightiest: a dream, a hill, a tree, shade, space, time, thoughts.... Lovely poem.
