Hello. I'd like to inform you that I used the first stanza of your poem in a competition speech of mine on solitude, in which I credit you. I thought it was beautiful.

Let me know if that's a problem.

    Thanks. (Report) Reply

I agree - the sense is in the silences. There is so much to listen to, we cannot hear any more. Excellent poem, Rani.

Silence can be more than words

Silence can be more than words
Empty words echoing in an empty world......................

resonance still persits by the silence,
history yet reverberates in its vale,
echoes when come out across the cliff
the world opens its pages of painted art by the life and living.............excellent flow of thought to a height of hill top raving across the moonlit valley but seeming lonely and alone exulting the impeccable metaphors and imagery ingenuiousy, well penned,10+, thanks for sharing (Report) Reply

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
