Solitude: The Solace Poem by Priya Pareek

Solitude: The Solace

When she had no desires
Had no spark no fires
Alone in the nights
She wove many dreams
Her silence was so loud
Louder than her screams.

With the picture of angels
She painted long ago
No one ever saw her
No friends no foe

On her haunches she sat
Under the dark dreadful sky
Dreaming of the place
Where cupids used to fly

As she knew deep within
She was alone in the place
Loneliness became a bliss
When her solitude became her solace!
