Some Religious Addicts Poem by Francis Duggan

Some religious addicts are into people control
They tell you they have the power to save your soul
From eternal damnation and the fires of hell
And at convincing the gullible to their way of thinking they seem to do well
Since they fancy themselves as the messengers of God
Some of their behaviour to say the least odd
For so called devout people they behave in a judgemental way
Unkind things of others they are known to say
They tell us their God has the power of sin to forgive
Whilst they themselves do not believe in to live and let live
They tell us for their God that souls they do win
And their mission is to end the World of sin
But for self proclaimed good people in a strange way they behave
And before saving others their own souls they should save.
