In the course of man's expectation,
There are things beyond his control;
Even the rich, wise and strong
Sometimes can do nothing at all.
Footprints and castles can be made,
For life is like the ocean sand;
Neither can the castles stand against the wave,
Nor footprints be picked up by the hand.
As you try to walk the extra mile
To be on top of the world;
Rugged rocks, humps, and holes
Block you in the long rough road.
Some may even say life is a game,
That the players should play it fair;
Though no one wants to be a loser,
But a game isn't so without a winner.
No one ever holds his own life,
For he lives through the Almighty;
No matter what one has achieved,
His breath and strength are temporary.
We must learn the lessons of life,
That the victors should stay humble;
And losers must learn to accept that
Life has some things beyond control.
Nor footprints be picked up by the hand... I love this. A wonderful poem Bernard.

" We must learn the lessons of life, That the victors should stay humble; And losers must learn to accept that Life has some things beyond control." This is extraordinary, full of wisdom, it flows so well, and the last stanza seals it with great wisdom. Thank you for sharing such great message with us. 🌹
