Someone To Read Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I have found different craze
Among poets with new face
Some one is requesting to read
Another is making me to provide lead

There is race too
For top ranking and name
Not new poets alone
But old stalwarts too feel fine

I came across one known poet
He was different and quiet
Of late he had tested fame
Now he wanted more in name

I asked” what makes you to think”
This move may not make you to sink
Friends may be alienated
Your test for good poetry will be rested

“No I follow correct path” he remained adamant
I want that everybody should know me at present
I shall go for requesting everybody to read
I need fame and name more than bread

Something in him had revolted
His self honor was bolted
He was no more poets
He has now everything to bet

I feel shy to ask some one to read
If poem is good readers will be tempted to feed
Offer nice comments and suggest some change
Such nice thing should be observed on the page
