Something Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Something

Rating: 5.0

In the echo of the silence
In the pleading whisper of a wish
In the desolation of this desert
In the tears of the banished
In spite of everything that's vanished
The more I crave the arms of tenderness
And of all that would ever hold me
In the end I would fall to this
The loving softness of your touch
The forever in your kiss
On the shores of the abandoned
On the steep slopes of nevermore
As midnight rings so hollow
In tears of emptiness I'd wallow
For the sake of something pure
