They seem to be surrendering
To the monsters of their little
Paper weight dungeons—
As the best women of
The presumptuous
Marriages
Turn out to be
Only the
Personifications—
Of the tools
The stewardesses
Jettison
Jingoistic ally for my little sister,
Janice- ,
The fraternity drinking forever
Their domestic beers over
The wishing well—Like headlights
Of the pilgrims surrendering themselves
To the Devil's paraphernalia—
And there is something
Else I forgot to
Say-
