Sometimes, Something... Poem by GRANT FRASER

Sometimes, Something...

You know that
sometimes, something,
when you
abandon all good
reason, and give
up the ghost...

and you can't
even break it off,

because there's
something about
it that's true,
or in you,

what is most true
when everything is
not true either,

a version perhaps?

you start digging
up things you forgot,

and it's true,
there is important
information concerning,

I can't even remember
how it came to be there,

as if the picture
you were drawing
started somewhere
else, or became
something completely
different,

not what you set
out to do,

true or false?

look in the mirror,

you can dive right in,
cover your tracks,
whatever you like...

whenever...

no the picture was
wrong all along,

and you crossed out
bits you couldn't
really remember,
the realer parts,

gut art feeling,
creative hurts,
transformations

that people
can't really change,

just cause you put
some words in it...

was what you didn't
really need,

the imagination
to follow up passages
and collosal great
steps alone...

and feel that
something might
really have occurred...

to change this hellish mind?

it'll take an operation
to get it out of me now,

this last notion,

that there is something
worth waiting to find...

a nugget borne
from the nothingness
of our struggles...

but you just don't
know what to do in
the mean-time,

oh! words why won't
you come to me, anymore...

and I who turn
around every time
and stab myself
for saying it all wrong,

for the sake
of making it heard better,

word for word
eye to eye
emotion for emotion

connect is + not a -

your highness, lofty
smoke of the hand coming
to greet or meet mine...

(at a cinema near you,
terms & conditions may apply)
