Sometimes They Visit Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Sometimes They Visit

In the corner in a dream
She sits on the leather couch
Wake up
Afraid
It felt so real, her smile
Mom’s been gone awhile

An old friend from twenty years ago
He visits me from Boston
Last night I dreamed I seen Jim
Your house has that old feeling
I ask, where was Jim?
Down stairs by the fish tank

Sometimes they visit
