Somewhere Else Poem by empty shell

Somewhere Else

God painted this place.

He used the bluest of blues.
The greenest of greens.
And the pinkest of pinks.

God lit up these stars.

Used the highest of ladders.
The brightest of lights
The blackest of skies.

God animated this island.

With the warmest of people.
The sweetest of songs
The finest of amenities.

God fed these guests.

With the sweetest of pineapple.
The juiciest of steaks
The richest of coffees.

Paradise-definitely.

But you are not here.
No pieces of heaven.
How is it I'd rather be...

Somewhere else with you.
