Son/Sun - Poem by nicholas sardinha

Though you might feel alone in the sun
wait, wait until I come into the sun
though it might not be everyone
wait, wait until I come into the sun

Even if I go where the sun cannot be seen
remember that you stay near me
like a beam of the warmest sun stay please until I come
for you were stronger than any son

Though others may join you before I come
remember that you were my sun stronger than anyone
even if you may have left your sons long before your time had come
remember you will always stay within them as the strongest sun

Even if the bravest storm comes to stop your son’s
know that what you gave them is stronger than any storm
for it was you that taught us that even the smallest sun
can be put in the heart of any son.

For I know even if all your son’s go and it is just me
you will wait in the sun until I come
and if I go before your sons
they will always know that I will wait alongside you for them in the son.

Though you might feel alone in the sun
wait, wait until I come into the sun
though it might not be everyone
wait, wait until I come into the sun.
