Song- The Three Magi Worship The Newborn King Poem by Dr John Celes

Song- The Three Magi Worship The Newborn King

Behold the star of Bethlehem
Keeps guiding Magi three;
Wise kings from east who journeyed far
To worship the King of kings.

They yearned for a glimpse of the baby boy
Who was the Son of God;
They brought with them all kinds of gifts
For flesh was born from the Word.

En way they met the cruel king
Herod who lied to them,
Expressing his desire to
Worship the new born king.

The star then stopped atop the shed
Where baby Jesus lay;
An angel choir from heaven sang
‘Hosanna to the king! '

The magi knelt before the lord
Asleep upon the hay,
Swaddled in clothes, the baby lay,
New born in Makers way.

Their hearts rejoiced with joy afilled,
‘Was it a dream come true? '
Before their eyes, lay Son of God,
A chance given to a few.

They prayed to baby Jesus lord
And thanked him for the star;
Warned in a dream, they left by stealth
Back to their homes afar.

This was how Christmas came to be
When Jesus Christ was born;
Emmanuel brought peace and joy
To earth that freezing morn.

Happy birthday O Jesus Lord,
For being born on earth;
Sinful mankind has been redeemed
By your miraculous birth!
