In the Sonnets Shakespeare is astonishly honest about himself. This is a flatly cynical view of an affair which (if it is about his affair with the dark lady) does not bode well for its continuance. (Report) Reply

How Shakespeare understood people and natures. A Freud of peoples psychology before psychology was a conception. Really reflacted in his plays. (Report) Reply

This poem is saying that everyone has flaws and some people think they ge away with things that their lover already knows. It is also saying that love tells no age, and that you can lie in love and it be a habit. (Report) Reply
