Sonnet #3 Poem by Richard Cruz

Sonnet #3

Delighted and moved by a flower's bloom
As it takes its sip from a morning dew
The sun joins in as it begins to loom
Over the garden that nobody knew

Thought to be lost and I found a new place
Hidden so deeply, almost by mistake
A sign of relief written on my face
A bountiful joy that no one can take

A new season with light and warmth once more
A new gardener sowing fruits so sweet
I will prepare a feast near heaven's door
Angels will sing for their heavenly treat

A celebration of life will subdue
Feelings of emptiness when we are through
