Sonnet 4 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Sonnet 4

Rating: 5.0

rain dropp fell very tenderly
that night waited for so long
winter wind and lightning
talked to Mussolini strongly

lonely wolf cried upon silver roof
no one noticed the minstrel
taxi and bus started to crawl
do love absolutely need to prove?

Nagasaki on desk is polished
with flattering and worshiping
not enough side for the feeling
the white paper totally diminished
look out! they all were coming
battles for nothing blinded human being

(dedicated to a great poet, Seamus Heaney)
