Sonnet: Fight Temptations Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Fight Temptations

When temptations disturb you very oft,
Determined more, try to be more holy;
And soon the devil’s voice turns to be soft
It goes away to places new slowly!

Stubborn an attitude sometimes is good,
When devils try to make us sin a lot;
Maybe, it leads us to a stressful mood!
But never fall a prey to devil’s plot.

And prayer brings from God the needed grace,
To ward off temptations however strong;
And builds within our heart a stronger base,
To be more holy and avoid all wrong.

With time, our faith in God grows very firm,
God blesses us a joyful, sin-free term!
