Sonnet For Forgiveness (For Glen) Poem by Danny Draper

Sonnet For Forgiveness (For Glen)

Seeds of darkness reach into the world, and
Some deeds cannot ever be absolved,
Others fueled by ire and indignation
Leave the accuser in consternation.
History ephemeral, and in the scheme,
Beyond proportion lays unresolved,
Hastily shared with others becomes theirs,
Candid talk forms a wall from trust it bares.
Courses change, turn around and go again
Some give and others take, closed off complete
Glower from inside husks, cold and thin,
Others love, this one life to wrap it in.
For the sake of another's happiness,
Forsake blinding anger with forgiveness.
