Sonnet: Human Demeanour Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Human Demeanour

One's parental upbringing, influence,
And sense of values handed down the tree,
Works true, surpassing all kinds of pretence,
Against the background of heredity!

If one can labour perseveringly,
Despite the inborn traits within the genes,
With toil and dedication lovingly,
You can transmute by will all earthly scenes!

Life's circumstances do affect results;
Resources rich may help do feats with ease;
Sometimes, for long, we ought to bear insults;
Nevertheless, life's storms will have to cease!

Man's in-built nature God-provided fights
The challenges that crop en way sans frights!
