Sonnet: Man's Faculties Are Fallible Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Man's Faculties Are Fallible

Rating: 4.0

The human eyes can't count the road-side trees;
To count, you need to see with clarity;
Not many things our eyes discern with ease,
Sometimes, our eyes deceive what a pity?

Thus, human faculties are limited;
And yet, men boast that they can reach the stars;
In doing things, sense-organs are knitted;
Such harmony is needed to win wars.

With earthly eyes, man sees not things divine;
But still, some men call themselves Demi-God;
Between the two, Man, God, clear is the line;
God is God and man clearly came from clod.

No man can ever fly bird-like in skies;
A truth, he fails to accept, till he dies.
