Sonnet: Man's Space Odyssey Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Man's Space Odyssey

Man's mind is made to make inventions new,
Discoveries in universe, afree;
His quest for knowledge opens vistas' view
-Insatiable, his curiosity.

The heart of man can bear all emotions;
But joy propels him to explore the world;
No loss or Nature's fierce admonitions
Prevent his ventures, adventures unfurled.

And Space is where his gaze always remains;
Phenomenal are sums injected there;
Mankind's unbothered by the boons or banes;
About reverses too, he does not care.

The loss of shuttles, lives cannot deter
Man's scientific will-power to know better.
