Sonnet: May The Righteous Minds Prevail Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: May The Righteous Minds Prevail

Rating: 4.5

O God, extend life-spans of people good;
The growing evils must be annulled fast;
The world is seeing heinous crimes, shed-blood;
The innocent lives mustn’t be easily lost.

Even the lion chooses weakened prey!
The foxes trot to cheat unwary ones;
And everywhere are seen areas of grey;
Governance is by harassment and guns!

World-Order appears in chaos, doldrums;
The nature’s furies strike millions dead;
Going to waste is people’s hard-earned sums;
What can we do if rivers change course-bed?
