Sonnet: On Being A Great Poet-Doctor's Wife! Poem by Dr John Celes

Being the wife of great a poet means
A lot of hardships, sacrifices, hurt,
Penury and honesty-led life-scenes:
A span in which the quality gets cut!

A poet has to work for hours on end,
And stay awake when others slumber on,
Trying to Mother Nature comprehend,
With truth as raiment, words as gems to don!

His better half is left in solitude,
With dreams that never see the light of day;
At times, life can be very cruel, rude!
She prays to God to guide him in right way.

Nevertheless, God knows her share of toil,
And moments great, she took care not to spoil!
