Sonnet: On Getting A Job? Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Getting A Job?

When years of studying hard in life on earth
Is followed by time lost in search for jobs,
Within the mind and heart, anguish has birth;
The student laments strife often with sobs.

Unemployment creates a mental state
Of frustration, depression, feeling sad;
If time and chance can't change a person's fate,
Some tendencies to suicide could add.

Then dawns the day when interviews do click;
The aspirant is overjoyed to core;
The transformation is something so quick;
Almighty God opens aright a door.

The joy of getting into job is great -
A feel, as if entering heaven's gate!
