Sonnet: Our Institution- A Poet’s Desire Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Our Institution- A Poet’s Desire

How nice if this place wonderful could turn,
Into a haven and Heaven to all!
Its employees in unison could call,
‘We will toil, ’ ‘the mid-night oil, we will burn! ’

How nice if people give up corruption,
At every level in the family;
And work better with greater harmony,
Forget the past; have rededication.

How nice if management should realize
Staff, students, patients’ welfare- it’s secret;
That, doctors, nurses are not as bad as yet,
There’s still hope but ’tis not a game of dice.

Let bad influences vanish from the scene,
And Labor/ Love/ Justice be our new Dean!
