Tilt the balance I will, in ways I can:
Whenever justice is put in peril;
Till goodness succeeds over evil, man
Just like we triumph over the devil.
This world can’t take too much of unfairness;
Good things must happen much more than things bad;
Men cannot live always in much harness;
God, intervene Thou must, or we go mad!
How much of evil things can this world bear?
How long can righteous men be dishonored?
How long can people grievances not air?
Too much of gall hast Thou in our cup poured!
The world can’t go on in this way O Lord!
To live thus, common men cannot afford.
