Sonnet-Time Is The Healer Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet-Time Is The Healer

Who can upset a heart upset enough?
What can a whip mean to a tired horse?
To smokers long, matters not, one more puff;
All things still happen if Heavens endorse.

How can a twig lone save a drowning man?
Can salt hurt more a wounded man in brine?
Order the Monsoon Winds to stop, who can?
To one athirst, Gall can taste like good wine!

A hungry Lion eats a mouse or shrew;
Our senses even have their limits too;
Unduely unkind is life to a few;
Beyond limits, there's nothing, you can do.
If struggled, we had to our level best,
'Tis time to forget things and take good rest.
