Sonnet-Trivial Things Too Matter A Lot Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet-Trivial Things Too Matter A Lot

One slip of tongue can let the cat off bag;
One slip of foot can cause a fracture bone;
One hole aboard can make a ship to sag;
A Goliath is felled by just one stone!

One unkind word can start a row endless;
One hasty act can ruin one's whole life;
One sip of wine can cause a habit worse;
One unwise thought can bring on undue strife.

One lullaby can put a babe to sleep;
One soothing word can end a global war;
Apology can heal heart's wounds that’s deep;
One Moon can light the earth at night from far.

Good things or bad, tho' trivial matter much,
Could hurt a lot or give a magic-touch.
