Sonnet: When Birthday Comes… Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: When Birthday Comes…

Each birthday makes one older aged;
You must not feel a bird-like, caged;
For, wisdom, experience in life,
Must help you prudently in strife.

Discard all pessimism, fear;
To elders’ advice, you must hear;
Allow some risks but labor hard;
Enjoy your freedom like a bard.

Life’s challenges are to be faced;
Your learning must be Nature-based;
Your time is ticking off so fast;
Let failures be things of the past.

Nothing on earth deters your will;
Let more courage your heart afill.

Happy birthday dear daughter Er.Cathy M.E.,
