Sonnet: When Strife Engulfs Man… Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: When Strife Engulfs Man…

When mind's perturbed and mental peace is gone,
And ponders man to retrieve it somehow,
In actions fallacious, known/ unknown,
He does and lies in sin and vice, with love!

When heart's anguished and seeks for remedy,
To free itself from pain and suffering,
The need to escape from ignominy,
Lands man in misdeeds, actions differing!

When body suffers from infirmities,
And diseases wreck havoc on the frame,
Man falls in deeper, more iniquities,
Unmindful of the blunders and their shame!

Man's logic fails when engulfed by much strife;
But still, the Will of God is rife in life!
