Sorrow Poem by Josiah Cresswell

Sorrow

Dead and collapsed
lacking vision in purpose
walking voiceless
standing unseen
amidst the crowds that ebb and flow
without reasoning
struggling
against the obscene
rejected
outcast
removed and withstood
eyes that fear
hands that clench
lost moments
tattered remnants
of frail memories
desires never to become
fading from
reality
rage without aggression
dead insolence
without recession
desires never to become
a pain that burns
deep inside
no remorse
lacking a place to hide
ruthless nonetheless
without love
for which to confess
alone
broken
tormented by a state
of mind
of body
of hate
liquid in perception
or deeply confined
broken by regression
fury laced with horror
intwined
agony made manifest
in shallow air deprived
lungs and chest
beaten with insults
marked with duress
of mental anguish
lost and stained
parabolic incest
of love
the lacking
regret
without comfort...
twisted and pained,
my
sorrow
