Sorrow Of Rainbow Poem by Eleonor Santiago

Sorrow Of Rainbow

Strolling lofty by the City with hopes and dreams of bright tomorrow
Eyes wondered how else to meet and reach the brightest rainbow
Staring in awe at the innocence of the eyes the little baby just sit and cry
Agony shouts in the side carried by a woman asking alms full of sighs, the baby full of cries

None had stopped even to look into their eye or just say hi
All eve ‘till morn this is their life wandering in the city damp crying for mercy ounce
How it touched thee whole and hunger came to carry that little gift of life
So it won’t beg for long, so it could have a suitable home

How is a woman be gifted with so much wondrous grace like the beauty of a child
When in one corner of this vast world, a barren lady cried to be given her own
How pity how lonely will they both thrive to see even a glimpse of the rainbows end
Begging both for grace and mercy, longing for love, care and life

Odd may life be, but none had seen, how a babe suffer when none for feed
Odd may life be, but none had felt, how a wishing to be mother, but none of seed
Life goes on, busy roads rushing and crushing even after dawn
Life is a gift none had fully conceived God’s miraculous grace we all received

We look for dreams, we try to reach rainbow…
When all the while…Our life is the brightest and most beautiful rainbow …
A gift we can share to spread beautiful color
And so never complain and cry for sorrow…
But look at the beauty of the gift of tomorrow
