Soul Poem by Michelle Tiddy

Soul

Rating: 4.8

If eyes are truly a window to the soul
And soul reflects true love
Why can you not see me?

Can't you feel my soaring pride
The love that I hold inside
The wings that lift me up?

Stay a while and sink right down
Into the pools of my heart
Where I can soothe any pain

Don't turn around and think
That you know best for me
When all I need right now is you

I am lifted to heights by you
Opened to feelings by you
Singing upon a raincloud for you

You have taught me many things
And for that I love you most
The spirit yearns for more

A beautiful mist upon a grey day
A shining sunlight that brightens my way
A tiny dewdropp that nestles on a flower
This is you, this is your power

You speak to me, when language is gone
Your loving caresses make me feel undone
You are the only thing that makes me feel whole
You are you, with your heart and your soul

If your 'You' is Love its self then I for one will agree with all your poem does decree and thank you for the wonder of the way you say, love will set us free.

'You are you with your heart and soul.' what a wonderful ending to a poem filled with love for the object of your affection. I love the way you describe what you're feeling, like 'singing upon a rain cloud for you' and 'a shining sunlight that brightens my day...I really like this, I have a eyes are windows on here to, but this makes mine pale....keep them coming, Michelle all away across the Pond...marci :)
