Soul Power Poem by Dwayne Gordon

Soul Power

I got the power to let power come
Shine on me like the moon and sun
I got the power to let power come
Haters, trying hard to stop my fun

Deep beneath your souls
The stone must be cold
More fresh when you're young
Garage when you're old
The power to see even if you're blind
I am your Majesty, this world is mine.

My teeth becomes diamond
My nails turn to gold
I got the power, the power is what I hold

Drinking away my mystery
Laughing at their griefs
I got the power to let power come
And it's within my reach.

In the heart of North Carolina
I became a beast
I got the power to let power come
May my soul rest in peace.
