Soul8 Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Soul8

Our colors and races are some kind of selection
Not the ones you keep in the form of collection
You don't boast the color of your skin
But only the soul that eludes from within
We don't eat the same meal everyday
Nor watch the same movie by the end of the day
We would rather try everything else once
We won't easily give up but take a chance
Our races and colors are like an amusement park
We try all the rides and leave a mark
Though we repeat the ones we enjoy the most
We take a picture and we try to post
But we try almost everything that we see
For we feel so happy and feel so free
Life is something that the soul dreamed to become
The dream is the equation and our existence is the sum
Would you rather be a Christian, Muslim or a Jew
Be a French, Arab or Filipino for its something new
We fight for freedom for we prefer to have a choice
To be heard and understood with our languange or voice
