Sound Of Rain (The) Poem by David Thomas

Sound Of Rain (The)

Sitting at the table
my heart beating steadily
the fighting going around
spreading heart to heart,
sitting here, in this room full of tears,
the heavens make this sky gray
makes the light seem lighter,
but only after it's darker...
in a room full of laughter,
made only by a house made of tears,
tears of the heavens,
growing more frequent,
the proof of heavin in the always calming
sound of steady falling rain.
