Souvenirs & Memories Poem by Cynthia Aluning

Souvenirs & Memories

Rating: 3.5

You're once a part of me
And that is written in the book
But that doesn't mean...
I could not edit it for good
I've tore the pages though,
But I could form them once again
Renewing, adding...deleting
Rebinding, cutting, pasting
And it will waste just the same

As I browse the pages' contents
It left me writing more and more
History repeats itself
A circle with no corners
An infinite spiral...
A windmill, a spinning wheel

Affairs to remember...
Written on the pages
A collection of memories
Etched between the lines

Some treasured reflections
Of complete realization
Pieces of souvenirs
Authored by destiny

Particles of the past
Coursed through the time
Living pieces of you
Truth that sets me free
