Speak To Me Poem by Modupeola Williams

Speak To Me

Rating: 5.0

Oh speak to me of the willow trees
which seem to whisper in summer's breeze
Speak to me of the mellow brooke
who's waters flow with gentle ease

Speak to me of the blue bird's song
the one he sings at daybreak
And of the night owl's gentle 'whooing'
till dark night sunlight does take

Speak to me of feather white clouds
always moving, never still
Speak to me of the vast azure sky
that seems to touch the nearby hill

Speak to me of the rich green grass
blue flowers that in the wind bend
Of ancient trees that hug the sky
Seas flowing without end

Speak to me of majestic mountains
that glow in the mist of morning
The shimmering colors that form in the sky
after rain's pouring

Speak to me that i may know
and see without seeing
All the wonders of this world

Speak to me...

It is a gentle poem with elegence of a wise woman yet the beauty of one in bloom. Gently carressing the elements of the world, you take them up, stanza by stanza, and make the poem full, complete. It delicate simplicity beckens me to read it, and what I read; you asked me to speak. So here it is, i'm glad for you, A poem it is, indeed. Love, Grace
