Speeding To Catch The Mist

Driving with my mind in the clouds,
I'm likely to miss the joys of the present,
I'm likely to see less of my surroundings,
I'm likely to fall into a ditch,
I'm likely to stand up and fall and get nowhere,
But never tire because I believe my destination is far away,

Speeding to catch the mist,
I'm likely to misrepresent the needs of my family,
I'm likely to fail carrying out my present commitments to satisfaction,
I'm likely to trip and fall forward and catch nothing,
I' likely to see less and less of the bright lights of the present,

Failing to control my thoughts to the present,
And think less of the future,
I'm likely to miss opportunities knocking at my door,
I'm likely to dig and dig and stop at the door of gold,
Because my thoughts are too dip like the gold mine,

I'm guilty of being less awake in the dry earth,
And more awake in the deep cool earth,
Unaware the door to the river is close by,
I'm about to drawn in the mouth of the anaconda,

My beliefs in the future are smoke,
Thus keeping my vision in the haze,
I'm standing in the present and it feels tangible,
I see my face beautiful and vibrant,
My health buoyant and ready for the missed gold,
But I have taught my eyes to see faraway with my mind,
My surroundings become dull out of neglect,
And thus confirmed my far sighted mind,
That life is a marathon,

Finally I reached my destination with a big stupid mind,
The mist has cleared, nothing in sight to see and touch,
No gold, just a different atmosphere,
Suddenly I wish to go back where I have started,
However I realised that everything goes together,
If I want to regain my lost youth,
Youthful circumstances must also return,
The atmosphere of those youthful days must return,
My youthful mind must be able to rejoice,
In the years gone by circumstances,
Suddenly I realised I'm in God's territory,
The master of reincarnation,
I'm forever dreaming wishful thoughts,
