Spider Poem by Shamik Kumar Bose

Spider

/* A stupid meaningless garbage for words */

Like God, they whisper close to me like a devil's sigh.
Scared like a damned movie scene fallen from an edge of Mt. Everest.
The icy scent on your lips scares me in my dream.
I feel to miss you in my dream. Once more.
I ventured into Africa. To abide by the world of the nomads.
I spent some valuable hours inside Sahara.
I was naked. Thorns washed my blood.
I danced like a jipsy girl inside Egypt.
I felt the rhythm of love-less eyes measuring keen.
So much so I was lifted in air lifeless. Like an empty baloon.
I came down like a mountain fatigued.
A spider came to me and consoled my heart.
I watched her.
How she looked.
How she waved.
How she made love.
I stared at her.
I scared.
Then I slowly..
slowly entered into her webbed silks.
I started to love her.
I am content now.
I web.
I shall web.
I will web.
