Spirit: I Am Poem by Jim Boone

Spirit: I Am

The gleam or tear in an eye

The ‘Ah, ha! ’ when you get it

The ‘pow’ in power

The ‘know’ in knowledge

The ‘tact’ in contact

The light in a smile

The yawn when it’s time to sleep

The stretch when it’s time to awake

The lift when you’re down

The detour when you’re hell-bent

The help that keeps coming

The comfort in letting go

The favor that embraces understanding

The conversations in silence

The awareness that you’re never alone

The ‘yes’ after the wait and persistence

The love that takes us all the way back home

“I Am that I Am, and it is so.” 1998
