Spirit Of Christmas Poem by Rebecca Cox

Spirit Of Christmas

Bells are ringing,
Spirits are singing,
All proof of this great joy,
As little ones lay in wait for their Christmas toy.
Snow flakes falling,
Voices calling
“Merry Christmas! ” To all they pass by.
For on this day, the Christ Child was born,
The angels all played their golden horns.
The star of Bethlehem
Shone brightly on this night.
Leading the three wise men to behold this sight.
The King of kings,
The Lord of lords,
The Prince of Peace has been born!
Rejoice in His holy birth
To save all those who walk this earth.
Giving up His own life
To save the world through the shedding of His blood.
But that’s only the beginning of His everlasting love.
For Christ, the Lord, is alive this day,
The Spirit of Christmas, giving happiness and joy
To all the world; to every girl and boy.
