If i was to close my eyes now, for sleeping sake
And they never re-opened and i did not wake
Would you miss me?
Would you cry?
Would you keep the memories and never let them die?

Everyone has memories, both bad and good
Sometimes the bad ones are misunderstood
As i drift away now into calm slow dunes
I hope you know how much i love you
As the battles beat me, i have given up

Promise not to let your life dreams wake up
Soldier on now, be strong but tame
Don't let life beat you, don't lose this game
The world can disappoint you, it will let you down
It can break your heart, make you feel a clown

You will learn how certain people tick
It will bruise you ego, it will make you sick
You'll cry, you'll stumble but you wont fade away..
You've got a date with your name on, that will be your day..
Your day for victory, your day will come..

And your greatest fan will be your mum
I'll look down on you, i'll be right there
I'll kiss you, hold you and be so proud
I'll be claping so hard, though it wont be loud
