Splendor Poem by Jerry Shalden

Splendor

for more times than there are stars
your sighs echo in the night
touched in ways only dreamt of..
fingers play lightning bolts
upon silken skin bringing
quivers to chilled bones
rippiling marrow in antipation
I breathe into your ear.....
if ever there could be a love
would you be her for me
touch my heart and
hold my hand throughout eternity
pulling you closer to touch our tearfilled hearts
ever so slowly I trace lines between
spots to stoke your dwindling flame
till in breathless silence
you plead for rest
pushing away weakly
deviod of light
as your senses reel
head spinning ecstasy
with spellbinding speed
touched deeper and
more in one moment
than in your entire life
as thoughts fly by with each
beat of your racing heart
melting dreams together on
the vine of love as we
entwine for days in
breathless awe
