Spoiled Rat Poem by Alexander Foald

Spoiled Rat

In the devil’s grin at the mirror
When the rain pours hard and fearless
Got my eyes away from the dice for a second
And it turns to a bad sign

A falling star in the sky dive
Into the night where her brothers watch
As the light comes down faster than sound
Collides with the fates of lost people,
Who miss their chance to come back on life

I, as my fate told me, was careless
To think that I could get all I wanted easily
Never felt that hard when reality paid a visit
And woke me up in the bottom of my grave

Spoiled in mother’s womb, stuck with father’s hair
Can’t take my feet from home, barely seen the world affair
Fortune could make me satisfied and services kept me alive
But fear caught me off guard as I watch the devil talk
