Spring Is In The Air Poem by norman hale

Spring Is In The Air

Though the snow will still fall
Spring is in the air
Soon the trees will be budding
And flowers will be every where

The birds are singing
To a brand new tune
Everyone's moving around
With the change of the moon

The coyotes are howling
In their packs here and there
Answering back and forth
Singing spring is in the air

The cars are on the move
Travelers are all about
Spring is just around the corner
On that there's no doubt

Though we may have storms
With lightning in the sky
Rain and ice will be coming down
From that same big sky

The whipperwill will be calling
As well as those little toads
And more and more people
Will be traveling the back roads

Lovers may be parking
Way back a hidden lane
Just long enough
To drive their parents insane

The shoppers will get out
Looking for a bargain to find
While fishermen will be looking
For a place to cast their line

Hunters will be looking
For a place for them to hunt
Looking for a wild turkey
While they are in full strut

Yes, everyone will be moving
All over with this spring break
Just for different reasons
No more, cabin fever can they take
