Springtime And You Poem by Edwina Reizer

Springtime And You

I look but cannot see you.
You're much too far from here.
Amidst the winter's snowy form
I await the spring with fear.

The spring will burst forth with color
and warmth will fill the scene.
Will it wipe away the sadness?
Will it make my life serene?

All the flowers that come alive
will be a welcome sight.
And all the hours of waiting
on night after endless night

will bring me one step closer
to seeing you once more.
This thought alone will comfort me
as I remember what was before.
